To maintain the filter's effectiveness, it should be changed every 70 gallons or roughly 45-60 days, depending on your water usage. To prepare the filter for use, simply rinse it under cold water for about 30 seconds and gently tap it on the counter (on both sides) to ensure the media is properly proportioned.

After removing the water reservoir, you can easily screw the filter into the bottom of the reservoir and replace the assembly back into the pitcher. Fill and discard 2-5 pitchers, or until the water is clear and there are no more charcoal particles present.

Once the filter is properly installed and the water is clear, you can fill and enjoy your fresh, great-tasting water. Remember to replace the filter every 70 gallons or when the filter replacement indicator signals that a change is needed.
